EdYou FM Staff Benefits from Personality Type Training

Employees of EdYou FM today completed a Staff Development Training. The two sessions, which were facilitated by Georgia E. Inniss, aimed to foster team spirit by learning about the different personalities within the workspace.

After helping the EdYou FM team to understand their personality traits in the first session, Innis prompted each member of the team to take the NERIS Personality Type Explorer Test. This test condensed each person’s traits into a 5-letter acronym. These acronyms help us to understand how different people think, how they communicate and how they may react in certain situations. This understanding of people and their temperaments is valuable in the work environment because it can help managers to make better decisions as it relates to assigning tasks, conducting meetings, sharing information, selecting team members and resolving conflicts.

Today’s session was the conclusion of a previous session which was held last month. In this session, the EdYou FM team discussed their test results. Now, having developed a greater understanding of themselves and each other, EdYou FM is eager to apply this knowledge to strengthen the team and enhance its mission.

Phillip Williams (Head of EdYou FM) and Georgia E. Inniss

Head of EdYou FM, Phillip Williams highlighted that this session and others like it is a testament to the Ministry of Education’s unwavering commitment to the development of its staff members.
