New CEO commends the work of NCERD’s EdYou FM

Newly appointed Chief Education Officer ( CEO) Mr. Saddam Hussain on Thursday, December 01, 2022, visited EdYou FM’s booth at the Math Clinic – an event hosted by the Math Unit of the National Centre for Educational Resource Development (NCERD).

During his visit, the Chief Education Officer interacted with the team as they highlighted some of the ongoing work at the radio station.

Mr. Hussain lauded EdYou FM’s efforts and commitment towards ensuring quality educational content is disseminated 24/7, noting that radio plays an integral part in helping to bridge the learning gap. Moreover, he was impressed by the team’s forward-thinking to have the radio station streamed online, recognising that most learners, especially on the coast, are now using technology to access educational content.

The radio station is streamed online via the edyou.fm website.

The CEO pledged his support in promoting the Ministry’s radio station to ensure students across Guyana have access to quality education.
