On Wednesday, November 30th, Inter- American Development Bank (IDB) Consultant Ms. Andreza Adams stopped in to meet with the EDYOU FM team to better understand the operations of the radio station.
This visit comes a day after an IDB Project update meeting was held at the IDB Office in Kingston. Present at that meeting was Mr. Patrick John, MOE Project Coordinator and his team, along with Mr. Phillip Williams, Head of EDYOU FM and Ms. Ayanna Waddell, Station Manager.
The IDB continues to work with the Ministry of Education and EDYOU FM will benefit under project 5180/BL-GY-2; Support to Safety Nets for Vulnerable Populations Affected by Coronavirus in Guyana.
Projects under BL-GY-2 will target the production of 450 new radio programmes, catering to students in nursery, primary and secondary schools (up to grade nine) in the areas of Mathematics, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies. It will also help to strengthen the radio station’s capacity with updated production resources.
