The Distance Education Unit (DEU) today commenced its first ever two-day workshop for Regional Site Managers, marking a significant step in strengthening the delivery of distance education across the country.
Approximately 20 participants from across Guyana are benefitting from this initiative, which is designed to equip participants with the latest knowledge in transmission systems troubleshooting, as well as best practices for general operation and maintenance. The workshop also provided a valuable platform for the Site Managers to address concerns and share their experiences and ways to improve the effectiveness of the network.

Head of Distance Education, Mr. Phillip Williams, addressed the team by emphasising the Ministry’s commitment to measuring success through improved student performance. He also expressed deep appreciation for the crucial role Site Managers play in delivering quality education.
